Born in the Free State, I grew up on a small farm. Been hiking, and camping for most of my life. Spent time bundu bashing in the wild war zone of Angola back then, and know how to survive in rugged terrain by your lonesome self. I like to explore unchartered territories, being familiar with longer commercial hikes in South Africa - I find them over commercialised and disconnected from nature. (I like sneeking up on wild animals without disturbing them).
