Baby friendly trails

Hi there,
I have an 8-month old and I haven’t done much more than 3km out and back on the Pipe Track (based in Cape Town). I’m unsure how far/exposed/intense I can go with the baby in the carrier. I have the Ergobaby 360 one.
Can anyone recommend some hikes in and around CT to start with out with? I’m sure we’ll get more comfortable taking her out there the more we go. Basically just looking for some reassurance and encouragement from other hiking families!
Thanks,
Adel

Silvermine Nature Reserve is a perfect venue to test out longer and longer hikes with the little one.

Another good option is Newlands forest - multiple trails as well as jeeptracks for easier walking (that can also accommodate sturdy prams) with lots of exit options. On weekends there are lots of families in the morning / late afternoon so you will definitely not be alone.
Doing the lower-loop on Lion’s Head (jeep track up from main parking; down trail at first split to the Kramat) is perhaps an easy intro into hill-walking.
