Can anyone recommend good places for beach walks and wild or primitive dune camping along the coast between Pringle Bay and Hermanus? This would be in early March, for a group of experienced LNT hikers and campers.
I’m not familiar with the rules for tent camping in dunes, nature reserves, and beaches in this part of SA; any advice or resources for rules and regulations, permitting, etc, is very much appreciated!
I have never camped in this stretch but have done a lot of hiking and fishing here. Personally i would be reticent to camp past the Bot River lagoon mouth (not sure if its open still). It is actively poached. An option to consider is rather going from Hermanus to Agulhas to Arniston. Either way, have fun. It is a wonderful coastline. Take a rod.
Nothing that I am aware of. Would also love to do this some time soon. Wild Camp on the beach.
