My wife and I are planning a weekend hike in Boosmansbos. It would be great if anyone has information on what to expect, and how to best prepare for a decent experience. We haven’t done a multi day hike as of yet. We are fully geared with the essentials one may need. We are looking at one of the long weekends in April (not sure if we’ll be able to still reserve a booking), but would appreciate any guidance or advice from the community. Thank you.
We did it 2 years ago with the kids. Was OK. The huts were in very bad shape. We took our tents along and ended up just sleeping in the tents because the huts were full of trash. We did tell the wardens so not sure if they cleaned it up…
The best part of the hike was the decent to the river (if you do the circular clockwise), we ended up camping one night next to the river in the gorge… that was great.
