Just be careful about how you go about hiding geocaches - they easily become litter. The OPOR concept is good - animals and non-cachers are less likely to dig it up, thus rendering it litter.
I rate the most efficient outdoor geocaches are summit books on technical summits. E.g. the summit book on any number of Drakensberg rock climbing peaks. Most aren’t listed as Geocaches, and actually predate the sport by decades (some dating back to the '40s and prior) - but it is the exact same concept.
