Living in Somerset West most of my life I never imagined that there is a route going all the way around the Helderberg mountains until I saw a few videos the other day. 1 group did it in 3 days, and group of 2 guys did the 65km hike in 25 hours 10 minutes.
I would love to the 3 day hike oneday. Anyone here done it before?
Just watched the hike video, looks like a lovely trail. That person is crazy for cowboy camping without a tent in that weather.
Any idea where one can get a gpx file?
Ive done from Crystal Pools to Moordenaarskop which is straightforward. Its the other bit i know zip about (ive seen the videos you refer to). When Sept comes i plane to do part of the missing bit (for me) from MK to Swartboskloof. Thats all established trails. The remaining bit is, well, the remaining bit. Im keen to do it.
