There’s a few that I know of

The johannesburg hiking club, hikes every sunday and wednesday

there is also an eastrand hiking club - http://www.eastrandhikingclub.co.za/

When I started hiking in 2018 I used Meetup to find local hikes and down here in the Cape I can highly recommend it. Very safe and loads of awesome peoples involved.

I see in Jhb there are also hiking groups on Meetup. Give it a try @Ruan
