We are visiting KZN south coast over December and looking for any recommended day hikes please . I only know of Oribi gorge
I haven’t hiked there myself, but the Mthamvuna Nature Reserve and Ingeli Forest Resort have some good looking day walks. If you have the time and don’t mind driving, the Giant’s Cup Trail in Himeville is AMAZING!

Hi. Oribi Gorge has 4 lovely day hikes. The longest is approximately 3.5 hours round trip. Two of the other hikes take you to beautiful waterfalls.
Mtamvuna has 3 great day hikes. Two can be overnight also.
Oribi Gorge has safe camping also.
Lake Eland is in the Gorge area. Day hikes also.
We live in the South Coast.

Thank you so much, will definitely check out these suggestions! We are planning on doing 2 trails on south coast and then another 2 in the Drakensberg on our way back home to the north west, cant wait 
Other much shorter options and maybe a bit more obscure are Vernon Crookes Nature Reserve, Skyline Nature Reserve and the Red Dunes (near Port Edward/Umtamvuna).
