Greetings. Myself and two friends want to go do the Outeniqua trail 7-days. Has anybody done this? What fitness level is required? I have never hiked before so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The 7/10 rating places it on Otter / Fanie Botha type difficulty; so easier than a Drakensberg-escarpment hike or the Amatola; but certainly no doddle. The last day is quite easy. Doing the full 7-days also adds the additional fatigue element so being fit will be important.
