Good morning all,
I am trying to find some information on the Witels river.
I am an avid fly fisherman and would like to hike up into the Witels river (not do the entire kloof loop) to do some fishing for the elusive cape brown trout - perhaps for 2 or 3 days in and out.
I am struggling to find information as to access rights. It seems that the Zuurberg area is under the control of the UCT mountain and skiing club, however, I would not necessarily be interested to do the entire kloofing hike as stipulated on their site. I would merely like to hike up from the Ceres side and camp and fish next to the river for 2 or 3 days.
Does anybody know if this would be possible? Would I need to be a member of the UCT club or do they allow non-members?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Robert
